Abstract

The aim of the study is to evaluate the city tourism potential of Eskişehir within the scope of tour programs. The research data were obtained by examining 30 tour programs of Eskişehir in 2019, including daily and accommodation. Content analysis was used for data analysis and basic information about the tours (accommodation, type of transportation, point of departure, most frequently visited centers) were determined. Then, the tour programs were examined according to the estimated daily tour times determined by visiting the most repeated visit centers within the scope of three different tours. According to the results of the research, Eskişehir has a historical, cultural, artistic and touristic entertainment city identity. It is found out that it hosts daily tours, mostly from Istanbul and Ankara, including buses. In addition, it was found out that distance and duration between points were not given importance in positioning of visiting centers in tour programs. In order to contribute to development of tourism in Eskişehir and travel agencies organizing Eskişehir tours, location of visiting centers and transition time between points were planned on map, then daily and accommodation tour programs were prepared.
